Indicator: 1.1.1.LI.1 - Explain the concepts of health and wellness
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define health according to the World Health Organization (WHO) as complete physical, mental, and social well-being, not merely the absence of disease.
- Explain wellness as an active, ongoing process of making choices toward a fulfilling and healthy life.
- Distinguish between the concepts of health and wellness using relatable local examples.
- Analyse the relationship between health and wellness and their combined role in daily living in Ghanaian communities.
- Work collaboratively in mixed ability groups to research and present explanations of health and wellness using digital tools.
