Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.1.2.LI.2 - Explain the consequences of poor housekeeping.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least three direct consequences of poor housekeeping in an engineering workplace.
- Explain how poor housekeeping leads to workplace accidents, injuries and loss of life.
- Describe the financial and productivity losses that result from poor housekeeping.
- Discuss the legal and reputational consequences that a company or organisation may face due to poor housekeeping.
- Relate the consequences of poor housekeeping to the need for good housekeeping already covered in Week 6.
