SHS2 Ict · Semester 2, Week 8
Guided and Unguided Network Systems
Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.2.1.LI.1 - Understand the Concepts and Differences Between Client/Server and Peer-to-Peer Networks.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define Client/Server and Peer-to-Peer networks in their own words, identifying the key roles of each participant in both models.
- Compare and contrast Client/Server and Peer-to-Peer networks across at least four criteria, including security, cost, management, and scalability.
- Analyse a given network scenario and classify it as either Client/Server or Peer-to-Peer, justifying their choice with reasons.
- Evaluate the advantages and limitations of both network models and recommend the appropriate model for a given real-world situation in Ghana.
- Participate constructively in group discussions, presenting reasoned arguments and accepting feedback from peers on network design choices.
