Indicator: B9.3.1.4.2 - Demonstrate command of the use of reported speech
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Distinguish between direct speech and reported speech in given sentences.
- Convert statements, questions, and commands from direct speech into reported speech with correct tense changes.
- Use appropriate reporting verbs (said, told, asked, requested, advised, etc.) when reporting what others have said.
- Compose a short paragraph reporting a conversation or dialogue using reported speech.
- Use reported speech accurately in an oral communication activity, such as relaying a message or retelling what someone said.
