Indicator: B9.3.1.4.2 - Demonstrate command of the use of reported speech

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Distinguish between direct speech and reported speech in given sentences.
  2. Convert statements, questions, and commands from direct speech into reported speech with correct tense changes.
  3. Use appropriate reporting verbs (said, told, asked, requested, advised, etc.) when reporting what others have said.
  4. Compose a short paragraph reporting a conversation or dialogue using reported speech.
  5. Use reported speech accurately in an oral communication activity, such as relaying a message or retelling what someone said.
