Indicator: B9.3.1.1.3 - Use more complex phrasal verbs accurately in speech and writing
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least six complex phrasal verbs in a given text and explain their meanings from context.
- Distinguish between the literal and idiomatic meanings of complex phrasal verbs.
- Use at least five complex phrasal verbs correctly in original sentences of their own.
- Write a short paragraph of 5 to 7 sentences that includes at least three complex phrasal verbs used accurately.
- Replace complex phrasal verbs with their single-word equivalents and vice versa in given sentences.
