Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.3.1.2 - Demonstrate knowledge of verb conjugation in simple connected dialogues which include the use of present tense for second person singular/plural.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Conjugate regular present tense verbs (ذهب، كتب، جلس، نجح) for the second person singular masculine (تذهبُ، تكتبُ، تجلسُ، تنجحُ) and second person singular feminine (تذهبينَ، تكتبينَ، تجلسينَ، تنجحينَ) with correct endings.
- Conjugate the same verbs for second person dual (تذهبانِ، تكتبانِ، تجلسانِ) and second person plural masculine (تذهبونَ، تكتبونَ، تجلسونَ) and plural feminine (تذهبنَ، تكتبنَ، تجلسنَ).
- Use present tense second person forms in simple connected dialogues about daily routines, responding correctly to questions directed at “you” (singular) and “you all” (plural).
- Distinguish between second person singular and plural present tense forms in both written and spoken contexts, choosing the correct form based on who is being addressed.
- Build short connected dialogues (3 to 4 exchanges) that combine questions and answers using second person present tense verbs, demonstrating clear ordering of ideas (CC8.2) and appropriate word choice in context (CC7.1).
