Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.3.3.1.1 - Demonstrate knowledge of verb tenses in reading of a semi vowelized script by identifying the verb in imperfect tense and pointing out person/gender/number.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the imperfect tense verb (الفعل المضارع) in a semi vowelized Arabic text and distinguish it from other word types.
- Extract the imperfect verb from a given sentence and state its root letters.
- Determine the person (first, second, or third) of an imperfect verb and justify their answer by referring to the pronoun it agrees with.
- Determine the gender (masculine or feminine) of an imperfect verb by examining its prefixes and suffixes.
- Determine the number (singular, dual, or plural) of an imperfect verb and point out the relevant marker.
