By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify compound nouns in a range of sentences and texts.
Form the plural of compound nouns correctly by applying the rules for different types of compound nouns (single-word, hyphenated, and open or spaced compounds).
Use singular and plural forms of compound nouns correctly and appropriately in their own sentences.
Distinguish between compounds where the first word takes the plural and those where the last word takes the plural.
Correct common errors in the pluralisation of compound nouns in written and spoken communication.
