Convert direct speech sentences into reported speech, correctly shifting pronouns, tenses, and time expressions.
Report questions in different situations, using verbs like “asked,” “wanted to know,” and “enquired.”
Report past events and statements from a news report or interview accurately.
Write a short news report that uses reported speech to convey what people said.
Identify and correct common errors in reported speech (e.g., leaving quotation marks, failing to backshift tenses).
