Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.1.1.1.1 - Explain the nature of God as the Creator.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. State that God is the originator of all things and explain what this means in their own words.
  2. Identify and name at least five things in nature that God created, such as human beings, trees, animals, and water bodies.
  3. Describe at least three qualities of God as Creator, such as His power, wisdom, and love, using simple examples.
  4. Work in groups to document observations from a nature walk and present their findings to the class.
  5. Show respect and care for God’s creation by suggesting practical ways to protect plants, animals, and water bodies.

Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)

- Lead learners to discuss the nature of God as the Creator: originator of all things, He created all things such as human beings, trees, animals, water bodies, etc.
- Take learners on nature walk to observe and document things created by God: human beings, trees, animals, water bodies, etc.
- In groups, learners put their findings together and present them to the class for discussion.
