Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.3.2.LI.1 - Assess the effects of globalisation on the development of the Ghanaian economy.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define globalisation and explain at least three channels through which it affects national economies.
  2. Categorise the effects of globalisation on Ghana’s economy into political, economic, and social effects.
  3. Assess both the positive and negative effects of globalisation on specific sectors of the Ghanaian economy, such as agriculture, trade, telecommunications, and banking.
  4. Justify, with evidence, whether the overall impact of globalisation on Ghana’s development has been more beneficial or more harmful.
  5. Work collaboratively in mixed ability groups, demonstrating respect for divergent views, while evaluating the effects of globalisation.
