Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.3.1.LI.3 - Discuss the actors and institutions involved in Ghana’s foreign policy.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least five actors and institutions involved in Ghana’s foreign policy formulation and implementation.
- Explain the specific roles and functions of the Executive, Parliament, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, and Ghana’s diplomatic missions abroad.
- Analyse how the different actors work together in the formulation and implementation of Ghana’s foreign policy.
- Assess the importance of citizen participation, including women, youth and persons with special needs, in Ghana’s foreign policy processes.
- Demonstrate responsibility, commitment and patriotism when discussing Ghana’s representation in the global community.
