Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.1.1.1.3 - Identify the left, right mouse button, holding of mouse, performing single, double and triple clicking, dragging object and using the scroll wheel
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the left mouse button, right mouse button and scroll wheel on a computer mouse.
- Demonstrate the correct way to hold a mouse using the palm grip technique.
- Perform single, double and triple clicking correctly on a given target.
- Drag and drop an object from one location to another on the screen.
- Use the scroll wheel to move up and down a page or document.
This lesson builds on the previous slots where learners identified computer components (B6.1.1.1.2) and learned about the generations of computers (B6.1.1.1.1). Learners will need this mouse skill for the next lesson on keyboarding techniques (B6.1.1.1.4), as both are basic input skills.
