Learning Objectives

Indicator: 2.4.3.LI.2 - Edit and perform the poem created in class.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify and correct errors in their group poems using a structured editing guide covering content, format, word choice, rhyme, and rhythm.
  2. Apply the Process Approach stages (pre-writing, drafting, revising, editing, publishing) to refine one stanza of their poem.
  3. Plan and rehearse a group performance of their edited poem, making deliberate choices about voice, pace, gesture, and expression.
  4. Perform their edited poem to the class with confidence, clarity, and appropriate emotional tone.
  5. Provide constructive feedback to peers on both the written poem and the performance using agreed criteria.

- Learners in groups plan and rehearse how to perform their poems. Allow introverts to choose the roles to be played to ensure inclusivity.
