Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.3.2.LI.1 - Identify different types of forces and their daily applications.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Classify forces into contact and non-contact forces using everyday examples.
Describe frictional force, fluid friction and the factors that influence them.
Demonstrate, through practical activity, how friction can be increased or reduced.
Apply knowledge of forces to explain the operation of at least two simple machines or everyday tools.
Present and defend findings on the effects and reduction of friction using appropriate scientific language.

Collaborative Learning:
- Use concept maps to explain different types of forces.
- Using 3E learning model, let learners engage, explore and explain the applications of forces. NB: Emphasise frictional forces, factors influencing fluid friction and increase or decrease of friction.
- Engage learners to discuss frictional force its effects and how to reduce it.
