Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.2.9.1.2 - Recognise one hundred and twenty sight words including content words

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Read aloud at least 20 previously learned sight words from a word card within 2 seconds of seeing each card.
  2. Identify and name at least 10 new sight words (content words) added during this lesson.
  3. Play the Lucky Dip game and correctly read the sight word they pick out.
  4. Use at least 5 sight words to make simple, meaningful sentences of their own.
  5. Echo-read a short simple text with the teacher, showing growing confidence and expression.
