Indicator: B6.4.1.4.2 - Explain the role that weight bearing activities play in bone strength.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define weight bearing activities and give at least three examples from their own lives.
- Explain in their own words how weight bearing activities make bones stronger.
- Describe at least two benefits of strong bones for daily life and sports performance.
- Identify weight bearing and non-weight bearing activities from a list and justify their choices.
- Communicate their understanding of bone strength through speaking and writing during class discussions.
