Learning Objectives
Indicator: B5.4.1.4.2 - Describe how muscle strength and muscle endurance enhance motor skill performance.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define muscle strength and muscle endurance in their own words and give at least one example of each from daily life.
- Distinguish between muscle strength and muscle endurance, using examples of activities that need more of one than the other.
- Identify at least three motor skills (such as throwing, kicking, climbing, or lifting) whose performance improves with stronger or more enduring muscles.
- Explain in one or two sentences how stronger arm, chest, and back muscles help with movements such as lifting and throwing.
- Demonstrate a simple activity that shows how muscle endurance helps them repeat a movement many times without getting tired quickly.
