Learning Objectives

Indicator: 1.6.4.LI.1 - Discuss the concept and features of financial literacy

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Define financial literacy in their own words and explain why it matters for individuals and for the nation.
  • Identify at least four key features of financial literacy from a given list or scenario.
  • Distinguish between financially literate and financially illiterate behaviour using everyday examples.
  • Explain how budgeting, saving, and informed decision-making form the foundation of financial literacy.
  • Work collaboratively in groups to research and present findings on one feature of financial literacy.
