Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.2.2.1.2 - Demonstrate the importance of religious festivals.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least three reasons why religious festivals are important to individuals and communities.
- Demonstrate through role play or narration how a chosen festival is celebrated, showing respect for its religious meaning.
- Explain in their own words how festivals help people remember key events from the past.
- Discuss how festivals promote reconciliation, renewal of faith, thanksgiving and togetherness among families and communities.
- Draw a scene from a festival they have witnessed or learned about and write one sentence explaining its importance.

- Show pictures and videos of religious festivals. - Using pictures and or video clips etc., let learners demonstrate how festivals are celebrated. - Let learners talk about the scenes in the pictures or the videos. - Guide learners to narrate the events in the festivals they have participated in. - In groups, guide learners to discuss the importance of festivals: to remember key events in the past, reconciliation, renewal of faith, thanksgiving, etc. - Let learners draw scenes they saw during the festival they witnessed.
