Indicator: B3.2.2.1.2 - Demonstrate the importance of religious festivals.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State at least three reasons why religious festivals are important to individuals and communities.
Demonstrate through role play or narration how a chosen festival is celebrated, showing respect for its religious meaning.
Explain in their own words how festivals help people remember key events from the past.
Discuss how festivals promote reconciliation, renewal of faith, thanksgiving and togetherness among families and communities.
Draw a scene from a festival they have witnessed or learned about and write one sentence explaining its importance.

- Using pictures and or video clips etc., let learners demonstrate how festivals are celebrated.
- Let learners talk about the scenes in the pictures or the videos.
- Guide learners to narrate the events in the festivals they have participated in.
- In groups, guide learners to discuss the importance of festivals: to remember key events in the past, reconciliation, renewal of faith, thanksgiving, etc.
- Let learners draw scenes they saw during the festival they witnessed.
