Indicator: B6.4.4.1.1 - Describe the agricultural value chain and the job opportunities
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain the meaning of the agricultural value chain in their own words, using at least two examples from farming in Ghana.
- Identify and name at least five different job opportunities that exist at different stages of the agricultural value chain.
- Describe how a product moves from the farm to the consumer, listing the steps in the correct order.
- Discuss how each stage of the value chain creates jobs for people in their community.
- Write a short essay explaining which agricultural value chain job they would choose and why.
