Learning Objectives
Indicator: K2.2.3.1.3 - Read level appropriate sight words relating to celebration and festival of a family automatically.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Read the five focus sight words (festival, dance, drum, food, party) automatically when shown on a flashcard.
- Say each sight word clearly and point to it when the teacher calls it out.
- Match each sight word to a picture showing that action or item from a family celebration.
- Build simple two-word phrases using the focus sight words, such as “dance drum” or “party food.”
- Recognise the focus sight words when they appear in a short sentence about festivals.
