Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.2.2.LI.2 - Analyse how image-making and repeat processes and techniques for creating 2-D artworks can be undertaken with relevant tools and materials.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify at least five image-making and repetition processes used to create 2-D artworks (such as stamping, stencilling, block printing, frottage, and collage repetition) and state the relevant tools and materials for each.
- Explain the relationship between a chosen process, the tools required, and the materials it works best on, giving reasons for their choices.
- Analyse two existing 2-D artworks to determine which image-making or repetition technique was used and justify their analysis with visible evidence in the work.
- Compare and contrast two different repetition techniques, evaluating their strengths and limitations for producing a series of 2-D artworks.
- Work collaboratively in mixed groups to analyse and present findings on how tools and materials affect the outcome of image-making and repeat processes.
