Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.9.5.1.1 - Écouter, comprendre et réagir à une conversation, une présentation dans laquelle les gens expriment leurs opinions (Réception orale / Compréhension de l’oral)

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify key opinion-expressing phrases (je pense que, je trouve que, à mon avis, personnellement) when heard in a recorded conversation or presentation.
Distinguish between positive and negative opinions expressed orally, noting agreement and disagreement markers (moi aussi, moi non plus).
Respond appropriately in short oral exchanges to questions like “Qu’est-ce que tu en penses?” and “Comment trouves-tu ce…?”
Complete a listening discrimination exercise by identifying specific opinion words and phrases from an audio passage.
Summarise in one or two sentences the main opinion expressed by a speaker after listening to a short presentation.

This lesson focuses on receptive skills (listening and understanding). Learners will not yet produce extended opinions of their own; that comes in the next slot (B9.9.5.1.2). Today’s goal is to train the ear to recognise opinion language and to react appropriately in short replies.
