Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.1.3.1 - Demonstrate the ability to express personal contributions in a discussion about inter-school football games/gala.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify and pronounce correctly the five key Arabic football phrases: ضربة ركنية (corner kick), ضربة حرة (free kick), تسجيل الهدف (goal scoring), حارس مرمى (goalkeeper), مرور الكرة (passing the ball), and ضربة جزاء (penalty kick).
- Use these phrases correctly in simple spoken sentences to express their own opinions about a football match.
- Contribute at least two personal viewpoints in a class discussion about an inter-school football gala, using the target vocabulary.
- Respond appropriately to a partner’s opinion by agreeing or disagreeing using Arabic phrases learned in earlier lessons.
- Express a clear personal opinion about which school team performed better and justify it with at least one reason in Arabic.
