Learning Objectives

Indicator: B9.2.1.3.2 - Show proficiency in presenting clear personal ideas after reading and discussing school athletics.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. List and explain the four elements (preparation, listening, originality, summarising others’ views) that contribute to a successful class discussion of a text about school athletics.
  2. Read a short Arabic passage about a school sports festival and identify the main events and outcomes mentioned.
  3. Present their own clear personal opinion about school athletics using appropriate Arabic phrases, in 3 to 4 complete sentences.
  4. Summarise a classmate’s viewpoint in Arabic and then add their own original idea to continue the discussion.
  5. Participate in a structured class discussion, demonstrating the four discussion elements, on the topic of school athletics.
