Learning Objectives
Indicator: B9.2.1.4.2 - Show adequate acquisition and usage of vocabulary of 30 words for self-expression about Arab/Muslim celebration of eid.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Pronounce and recognize at least 25 of the 30 Eid-related vocabulary words and phrases with accurate articulation when heard or read aloud.
- Define each of the 30 vocabulary items in simple Arabic or English to demonstrate comprehension of their meanings.
- Use at least 15 of the 30 vocabulary items correctly in complete sentences to describe how Muslims celebrate Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha.
- Take part in a short class discussion or dialogue about Eid celebrations, using the modelled phrases appropriately in context.
- Classify the vocabulary into logical groups (prayer, food, greetings, charity, family visits) to show understanding of how the words relate to one another.
