Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.2.1.5.2 - Produce the appropriate intonation of simple sentences relating to sizes and heights of family members, classmates and teachers.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Pronounce Arabic words for height and size (طويل tall, قصير short, كبير big, صغير small) with correct vowel endings.
- Describe at least three family members or classmates using simple sentences with the correct intonation pattern for statements.
- Ask and answer simple questions about who is tall or short, big or small, using rising intonation for questions and falling intonation for statements.
- Distinguish between the intonation of a statement (falling) and a question (rising) when describing heights and sizes.
- Produce a short oral description of their family or class, naming at least two people and their sizes or heights with appropriate intonation.
