By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Explain at least three reasons why ethical behaviour is important in engineering practice.
  2. Describe the consequences of unethical behaviour for engineers, clients, and the public, using specific examples.
  3. Discuss how ethical engineering practice protects public safety and builds public trust.
  4. Justify, in a moderated class discussion, why professional reputation and economic success depend on ethical conduct.
  5. Critique ethical and unethical behaviours identified in video clips and real-life engineering scenarios.
