Indicator: B9.6.2.1.1 - Describe how to start and run a small business
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- List and explain at least four different ways of starting a small business in Ghana, giving one local example for each.
- Identify the main legal forms of business ownership in Ghana and state one key feature of each form.
- Apply a simple three-step process to choose a suitable name for a proposed business, using criteria such as memorability, relevance and legality.
- Outline the basic licensing and registration procedures for a new small business in Ghana, naming at least two relevant regulatory agencies.
- Present a summary of key findings from a group discussion or agency visit in a clear, ordered spoken or written format.
