Indicator: B7.6.2.1.1 - Explain what is meant by ‘entrepreneurship’ and ‘entrepreneur’

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Define “entrepreneurship” in their own words as the activity of setting up a business and taking financial risks in the hope of profit.
  2. Define “entrepreneur” as a person who sets up a business or businesses, taking on financial risks in the hope of making profit.
  3. Distinguish between an entrepreneur and a regular business owner using given examples from their locality.
  4. Identify the key parts of the definition (business creation, financial risk, hope of profit) and explain each part using a simple example.
  5. Present their understanding of entrepreneurship and entrepreneur clearly in a short oral or written explanation, in a logical order.
