Learning Objectives
Indicator: B7.6.2.1.3 - Explain the advantages and disadvantages of being an entrepreneur
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- State at least four advantages of being an entrepreneur, such as self-management, employment creation, and working at their own pace.
- State at least four disadvantages of being an entrepreneur, such as irregular income, difficulty in securing funds, and risk of business failure.
- Give examples from real life in Ghana to illustrate at least two advantages and two disadvantages of running a small business.
- Present their group’s ideas in a clear order, with each point explained fully, during a class discussion.
- Weigh the advantages against the disadvantages for a given business scenario and make a simple judgment on whether it is a good idea to start that business.
