Learning Objectives
Indicator: 2.3.2.LI.1 - Examine the relationship between humans and the physical environment and how they promote sustainable development
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define the concepts of physical environment and sustainable development in their own words with accurate examples from Ghana.
- Explain at least three ways in which humans depend on the physical environment for survival and economic activity.
- Analyse how human activities such as farming, mining, fishing and construction affect the physical environment, both positively and negatively.
- Discuss how the relationship between humans and the environment can be managed to promote sustainable development.
- Propose practical actions that individuals and communities in Ghana can take to ensure the environment remains productive for future generations.
