Indicator: 1.3.3.LI.2 - Examine causes and measures for preventing/mitigating water pollution in Ghana
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define water pollution and distinguish between point source and non-point source pollution.
- Identify and explain at least five major causes of water pollution in Ghana, citing specific local examples.
- Analyse the effects of water pollution on human health, aquatic life, and the Ghanaian economy.
- Evaluate at least four practical measures for preventing or mitigating water pollution in Ghana, considering the roles of individuals, communities, and government.
- Create a mind-map that connects the causes, effects, and prevention strategies of water pollution in Ghana.
