Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.4.5.1.1 - Écouter et comprendre une conversation ou regarder et comprendre un clip sur deux personnes qui communiquent par téléphone

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Listen to a short telephone conversation in French and identify the two speakers.
  2. Recognise and understand key telephone phrases such as “Allô”, “Qui est à l’appareil ?” and “Ne quittez pas”.
  3. Answer simple comprehension questions in English or French about who is calling, who is being asked for, and whether the person is available.
  4. Match spoken telephone expressions to their meanings when heard in an audio or video clip.
  5. Watch a short clip of a telephone conversation and sequence the main events in the correct order.
