Learning Objectives
Indicator: 3.6.2.LI.1 - Identify business opportunities emanating from societal problems in Ghana
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Define “societal problem” and “business opportunity” and explain the relationship between the two.
- Identify at least five societal problems in their local community or Ghana at large that present potential business opportunities.
- Categorise identified societal problems into sectors such as health, education, transportation, waste management, and agriculture.
- Generate at least three viable business ideas that directly address specific societal problems, explaining how each idea solves the problem.
- Apply a simple validation checklist to assess whether a business idea is practical, profitable, and beneficial to the community.
