Indicator: B7.1.3.1.2 - Produce pure vowel sounds (long vowels) in context
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the five long vowel sounds in English: ee (as in see), ah (as in car), aw (as in saw), oo (as in moon), and er (as in bird).
- Produce each long vowel sound accurately in single words and in short phrases.
- Distinguish between long and short vowel sounds when listening to pairs of words.
- Use long vowel sounds correctly in connected speech during a short speaking activity.
- Sort given words into groups based on their long vowel sound.
