Exemplars (from the NaCCA curriculum)
Group work/collaborative learning: - Group students and guide them to discuss effectively with respect for others the various ways of avoiding accidents in the workshop, tools, handling materials and using machines. - Learners watch safety video to identify and use the appropriate safety clothing for workshop activities and demonstrate the right safety measures in the use of tools and machines. Assessment (1.4.1.AS.1). The document marks these depth-of-knowledge levels for this indicator: Level 2 Skills of conceptual understanding; Level 3 Strategic reasoning. Teaching and Learning Materials: - Charts - real objects - video/YouTube - Measuring - Cutting - marking out - holding - striking tools - sketches/charts - Specimen of ferrous - non-ferrous metals
