Indicator: B7.4.1.2.1 - Explain and demonstrate how heat is transferred in various media

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Classify common materials as conductors or insulators of heat based on how quickly heat passes through them.
Explain, in their own words, how heat moves through solids, liquids and gases using the idea of particle vibration and movement.
Demonstrate through a simple practical activity that heat is transferred at different rates through metal, plastic and liquid.
Predict which material (metal, plastic, gas, liquid) will heat up fastest when placed on a warm surface, and justify their prediction.
Give at least two everyday examples in Ghana where knowing about heat transfer helps people make better choices (for example, pot handles, roofing sheets, food containers).
