Learning Objectives

Indicator: 3.2.3.LI.2 - Explain the application areas for the various devices used for energy conservation.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

State at least three major application areas (lighting, cooling/heating, and consumer appliances) for energy conservation devices.
Match at least five specific energy conservation devices to their correct application areas with accurate reasoning.
Explain, in their own words, how a given device saves energy in its specific application area, using correct technical terms.
Justify the choice of a particular energy conservation device for a given real-life scenario, considering the device’s function and limitations.
Participate in group discussions and video observation activities, sharing observations on device applications with the class.
