Lesson notes
Learning Objectives
Indicator: B6.6.7.1.1 - Show how to create and access e-mail messages.
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify the key parts of an e-mail account screen, including the Inbox, Compose button, and message list.
- Log in to a personal e-mail account using a username and password.
- Access and open messages in the Inbox to read their contents.
- Create a new e-mail message by entering the recipient’s address, a subject line, and a message body.
- Send a created e-mail message and confirm that it was sent successfully.
This lesson focuses on creating and accessing e-mail messages. It builds on earlier lessons where learners discussed the purpose of e-mail and opened e-mail accounts. It stops before replying to or forwarding messages, deleting messages, and attaching files, which come in later weeks.
