Learning Objectives

Indicator: K2.1.4.1.6 - Draw and colour different food items that keep our body healthy and label them using invented spelling.

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Name at least three different food items that keep the body healthy.
  2. Draw and colour at least two food items of their choice that keep the body healthy.
  3. Label their drawings using invented spelling, showing the beginning sounds of the food items.
  4. Copy the correct names of food items from the board under their drawings.
  5. Talk about their drawings with a friend, explaining why the food they drew is good for the body.
