Indicator: K2.1.4.1.4

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least 5 sight words (such as can, is, of, to, the) from the text about the six killer diseases when shown on flashcards.
  2. Pronounce sight words instantly when the teacher flashes word cards without pausing to sound them out.
  3. Use the sight words learnt to form simple oral sentences about keeping the body healthy.
  4. Write simple sentences using the sight words in their exercise books with teacher support.
  5. List at least 3 sight words from their local language that are similar to English sight words.
