Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.2.3.4.1 - Plan a display of own performing artworks to share creative experiences based on ideas that reflect the history and culture of people in other African communities
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- identify at least two examples of music, dance or drama from other African communities and describe one historical or cultural idea each reflects.
- discuss in groups why performing own compositions to share ideas about other African cultures is important for education and public information.
- choose a venue for a display of performing artworks and give one reason for their choice based on the audience and the performance type.
- select and group at least three of their own performing artworks according to the cultural theme they share.
- create a simple plan (in writing, drawing or oral form) showing the venue, the order of performances, and the target audience for a planned display.
