Learning Objectives
Indicator: B3.1.3.4.1 - Plan a display of own visual artworks to share creative experiences based on ideas that reflect the history and way of life of people in other African communities
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Explain at least two reasons why displaying artworks is important for sharing ideas about other African cultures.
- Identify and describe the key parts of a display plan, including venue, grouping of artworks, and target audience.
- Select and group their own drawings and colourings into categories based on themes of African history and culture.
- Prepare a simple written or drawn display plan that names a venue, lists the artworks to be shown, and identifies who should be invited.
- Present their display plan to the class and give simple feedback on peers’ plans.
