Learning Objectives

Indicator: B2.1.3.4.2 - Plan for a display of own visual artworks to share creative experiences based on ideas that reflect the natural and manmade environments in other Ghanaian communities

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  • Identify at least two natural environments (e.g. Lake Bosomtwe, Mole National Park) and two manmade environments (e.g. the Cape Coast Castle, the Bolgatanga market) in other Ghanaian communities from pictures or discussion.
  • Sort their own artworks into two groups: those showing natural environments and those showing manmade environments.
  • Draw a simple plan (a sketch or labelled drawing) showing where each artwork will be placed in the display venue.
  • Explain in one or two sentences why each artwork is placed in its chosen group.
  • Invite at least one person (a friend, teacher or family member) verbally or with a simple written note to attend the planned display.
