Learning Objectives

Indicator: B1.2.3.4.1 - Plan a display of own artworks to share own creative experiences based on performing artworks that reflect the history and culture or way of life of the people

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

Identify at least three performing artworks from their class portfolio that reflect the history and culture of people in their local community.
State at least two reasons why it is important to display their own performing artworks for others to see.
Group their performing artworks into simple categories (for example, songs, dances, drumming, drama) for the planned display.
Choose a suitable venue for their display and give one reason for their choice.
Help prepare a simple invitation message (verbal or written) to invite a target audience, such as parents, other classes, or community elders, to the planned display.

- discuss the need for displaying portfolio of own performing artworks
- plan a display of portfolio of own music, dance and drama compositions to share, educate and inform the public on the history and culture of people in the local community.
