Learning Objectives

Indicator: B4.3.2.4.1 - Faire une liste d’objets que l’on aime et que l’on n’aime pas

By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Identify at least eight French words for common objects (foods, animals, colours, school items) already studied in previous weeks.
  2. Write “J’aime” and “Je n’aime pas” correctly before a noun, using the model sentences from earlier oral lessons.
  3. Produce a written list of at least five things they like and five things they do not like, using correct spelling.
  4. Organise their list under two clear headings: “J’aime” and “Je n’aime pas”.
  5. Exchange their list with a partner and check that the structure J’aime/Je n’aime pas + noun is respected.

This lesson builds directly on Term 2, Weeks 2 and 3, where learners listened to, asked about, and orally stated what they like and do not like. It prepares them for Week 4’s reading lesson (B4.3.2.3.1) by having them produce the same structures in writing so they can then recognise them in a text.

  • indicator text - p.15: printed B4.3.1.4.1, the same code as the indicator on printed p.14, but this row is under the heading SUB-STRAND 2: Dire ce que l'on n'aime pas and beside the Production Ecrite cell, so its position asks for B4.3.2.4.1. Not renumbered here
  • indicator text - printed "B4.3.1.4.1" on p.15. Renumbered to "B4.3.2.4.1": this row belongs to sub-strand 3.2 (what one does not like), which the document prints with sub-strand 3.1 codes. Resolved by the document own four-skill scheme (segment 1 Comprehension Orale, 2 Production Orale, 3 Comprehension Ecrite, 4 Production Ecrite) and by the exact mirror structure of sub-strand 3.1 in the same grade.
