By the end of the lesson, learners can:

  1. Discuss at least four techniques for protecting themselves from online identity theft.
  2. Explain what online identity theft is and how it can happen.
  3. Demonstrate the correct way to log out of an account after browsing.
  4. Identify suspicious messages, links, and requests that could lead to identity theft.
  5. Create a simple personal checklist of online safety habits to follow whenever they use the internet.
