Indicator: B4.3.2.1.3 - Identify and use possessive pronouns to show possession
By the end of the lesson, learners can:
- Identify possessive pronouns (my, your, his, her, its, our, their) in given sentences.
- Explain that possessive pronouns show who owns or possesses something.
- Use possessive pronouns correctly in oral sentences to show possession.
- Write complete sentences using possessive pronouns and underline the possessive pronoun in each sentence.
- Distinguish possessive pronouns from the articles “a” and “an” and quantifiers covered in earlier lessons.

- My, your, his, etc. - Write sentences with possessive pronouns on the board and have learners read them. e.g. i. I gave my pen to John. ii. The women went to their rooms. - Have learners form oral sentences using possessive pronouns. - Put them into groups to use possessive pronouns to write sentences and underline the possessive pronouns.
